Instructions for Poster Presenters

There are 2 types of poster presentations:

1. E-Poster Discussions - abstracts selected for this category will be available electronically in the E-Poster stations.  A designated date and time for presentation will be assigned to each abstract. You will not need to bring a poster with you, nor to print one in Lisbon, but it will be essential for you to prepare your E-Poster in good time and upload it before the Meeting starts.

2. Poster Board Presentations-Poster Viewing - abstracts selected for this category will be available on poster boards in 2 shifts.

Shift 1: Wednesday, October 24th from 12:00 until Thursday, October 25th 19:00

Posters can be mounted from 08:00 on Wednesday 24th October and must be removed by the end of sessions on Thursday 25th.

Shift 2: Friday, October 26th from 07:30 until Saturday October 27th 13:45

Posters can be mounted from 07:00 on Friday, October 26th and must be removed by the end of sessions (14:00) on Saturday 27th

Please see the Meeting app or the poster help desk onsite for the board number on which you should display your poster. Please use the board with the same number.
Presenters are requested to stand by their posters during the coffee breaks on their shift for informal discussions.
 
Abstracts selected for Poster Board Presentations-Poster Viewing will also have an option to upload their posters electronically, the posters will be available for viewing in the E-Poster stations. There is no designated time for E-Poster presentations in this category.

Note: All Conference Participants will have the opportunity to view the abstracts via the Meeting's website and the Mobile App during the Meeting. Your E-Poster will also be available for viewing on the large electronic screens in the E-Poster Area at the Meeting Venue. Any E-Poster can be viewed on any screen at any time.

Poster Board Presentations Preparation

Technical Specifications

The dimensions of the poster board are PORTRAIT style.

Poster Board Size: 1m width x 2.5m height.

It is recommended that your poster be no larger than 90cm wide x 120cm high (Portrait style).

Posters may be prepared on one sheet (preferred method) or alternatively on several smaller sheets.

Allocate the top of the poster for the title and authors as stated on the submitted abstract.

The text, illustrations, etc should be bold enough to be read from a distance of two meters.

Double-sided tape will be available in the poster area for hanging of posters. Staff will also be in the poster area to assist you.

The organisers are not responsible for any posters that have not been removed by the end of the sessions on the day in which they have been scheduled.

E-Poster Preparation

Deadline for uploading your E-Poster: October 17th, 2018

  • All E-Posters should be prepared in English.
  • One Page Document
  • Layout: Portrait (vertical orientation)
  • Poster Size:
  • Pixels: Minimum recommended size (format W x H) is 1125 x 2000px and maximum is 2250 x 4000px.
  • In cm: 19.05cm width and 33.87cm height
  • Format: 9:16
  • DPI 300 pixels/inch
  • File Size: Maximum file size is 4 Megabytes (4MB).
  • File Format: Save your file as a PDF for quick and easy upload.
  • Media: Images/photos, graphs and tables can be included in the E-Poster.
  • Multimedia: Videos can be included in the E-Poster. (in order to embed movies inside PDF please use Adobe Acrobat Pro and only mp4 files are accepted encoded with h264 codec)

You should have received an email from our E-Poster provider “Simul” to upload your poster. If you did not recive this email please contact: support@simul-europe.com
